A 24-year-old farmer today allegedly tried to commit suicide by consuming pesticide near Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrsekhar Rao's camp office in Begumpet area, police said.
Saidulu, a native of Suryapet district, is undergoing treatment in hospital, police Inspector S Ravindar said.
Saidulu does not own any land, he said.
"He did some tenancy farming and claims to have incurred losses. He consumed some pesticide at CM's camp office. He was rushed to the hospital immediately," the police official said.
Police, however, have not booked any case, he added.
