For nearly two hours, farmers from villages of Kakretia, Sihora, Nagla Teja, Khapparpur, whose crops were been damaged in the recent untimely rains, blocked the NH demanding faster payment of compensation.
Chief Development Officer Andre Vamsi assured the farmers that compensation would reach their homes directly.
"They were told that their charter of demands including payment of compensation at higher rate would , relief to real cultivator in case of contract farming would be sent to government," Vamsi said, after which the blockade was lifted.
