Fatehjang Singh, party secretary Ravinder Sharma, former Chairman Punjab Agro Corporation and their supporters were facing trial in a local court in connection with a criminal case registered against them in Ghoman Police Station in Gurdaspur district in 2007.
It was alleged that Bajwa and Ravinder Sharma along with their 15 Congress supporters had created a hurdle in the duty of a police party as they got freed their worker Avtar Singh, a resident of village Bohja under Ghoman Police Station, whom a police party from Mehta Police Station in Amritsar district had come to arrest in a criminal case.
All the alleged accused were on bail in the case.
Judicial Magistrate Amit Singh today acquitted them.
