The incident occurred yesterday evening in Rudawal area when Preetam Singh Kushwaha went into a well to repair a motor but fainted inside it. His son, Lakhan Singh (25), descended to rescue him but he also fainted inside the well, they said.
Locals pulled them out and rushed them to a nearby hospital, where they were declared brought dead, police said.
The bodies have been handed over to their relatives after postmortem, police added.
