FDA Assistant Commissioner held for accepting graft

An Assistant Commissioner of Food and Drugs and Administration department was arrested today for allegedly taking bribe of Rs 51,000 here, Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) said.
The accused Prabhakar Kale (42) had demanded the bribe for certifying samples of edible oil and chili powder collected from complainant's bar and restaurant, ACB Dy SP Satish Deshmukh said.
The complainant approached the ACB, which laid a trap and apprehended Kale while taking bribe, he said, adding investigations are underway.
