"It was the 'hukum' of Garibnawaj, and I felt blessed to have been given the opportunity and very happy. The song is a tribute to Khawaja and his Dargah - the great spiritual institution of the country," Joshi told PTI here before moving to Ajmer.
The song is being dedicated to the Khawaja Garib Nawaj and is one of the main attractions of the light and sound show at Ajmer's Akbari Quila.
"The way it is written is inspired by Amir Khusro and the song is approximately 9 minutes.
"I have written a little bit devotional pieces. After 'Delhi 6's' 'Maula', I started to explore opportunity to work in this direction," he said.
Joshi said that the idea of the song was originally conceived by Rajasthan Tourism Minister during Jaipur Literature Festival.
"... And the opportunity came during the lit fest in January. The minister Bina Kak inspired me for the song during the lit fest this year and I made it while sitting in New York some time back," he said.
