Female elephant killed in fight with tusker

A 28-year-old female elephant was found dead in Kadambur in Ekkathur forest range in the district.
Forest department officials said the elephant was found dead with injury marks on its stomach.
Veterinary surgeons, who examined the elephant, said it was killed in a fight with a tusker and ruled out any poaching attempt.
