FICN of over Rs 5 lakh seized

Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) with a face value of over Rs five lakh have been recovered by police and a man from Rajasthan arrested in this connection, police said.
A police patrol party nabbed one Ashok Kumar (49), who along with another person tried to flee on seeing the police last night. On checking, FICN in the denomination of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 with a face value of Rs two lakh was recovered from
His possession, a police press release here said today.
When police checked Kumar's house, they also recovered Rs 3.62 lakh FICN and a sum of Rs 7 lakh genuine notes.
He was remanded to judicial custody and special teams have been formed to arrest more person involved in this network, haling from Bangalore, the release added.
