Mizoram has a total number of 7,68,181 voters as final electoral roll was published Thursday after revision which began four months ago, State Chief Electoral Officer S B Shashank said.
Shashank told reporters that the female electors outnumbered the male counterpart with the number of female voters being 3,93,685 as against male voters of 3,74,496.
Aizawl district has the highest number of voters among eight districts at 2,88,322 followed by Lunglei district at 1,04,930 and the least number of voters was in Siaha district at 38,843 votes.
The CEO said that preparations for the coming election to the 40-member state legislature was on.
