Finolex to train 500 plumbers

PVC pipes and fittings manufacturer Finolex Industries has entered into a collaboration with CREDAI Pune Metro to train about 500 plumbers as part of its skill development activities.
To train these plumbers, a training programme has been developed in collaboration with KUSHAL, which is a partnership project between Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) Pune Metro and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
The company has also organised 60 plumber meets across the country to train 3,000 plumbers. The meets were conducted in 26 states and 58 cities across the country, Finloex said in a statement.

About 155 entries from 52 tea growing estates were screened at the first level of the 12th Golden Leaf India Awards: Southern Tea Competition.
The event kick-started today at UPASI in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. A six-member panel, representing major tea packeteers, exporters and leading brokers evaluated the teas, TGLIA Organising Committee Convenor V Unnikrishnan said in a press release.
The process of selecting the best tea from various agro climatic regions is based on a multi-layer screening process using a scoring system that capture various quality attributes of tea such as dry leaf appearance, infused or spent leaf appearance, liquor attributes such as colour, aroma, briskness and strength in an objective manner, it said.
