The ruling Trinamool Congress today lodged an FIR against 21 CPI(M) activists including former Minister Kanti Ganguly for their alleged involvement in the killing of four TMC supporters at Raidighi in South 24-Parganas district.
Four persons, whose identities were not revealed, were arrested today and produced before a court in Diamond Harbour which remanded them to 10 days police custody, police said.
As many as four TMC supporters were killed and three others injured when suspected miscreants opened fire at them in Raidighi last night when they were holding a meeting, Superintendent of Police Pravin Kumar Tripathy said.
The miscreants have been absconding.
The deceased have been identified as Hasan Gaji, Hafisul Gaji, Atiar Mollah and Sabu Mollah.
The injured, identified as Ayub Mollah, Kutub Mollah and Krishna Charan Mistri have been admitted to Raidighi hospital.
TMC has accused CPI(M) of conspiring with BJP for the attack on its workers and killing four of its activists at Raidighi in the coastal district.
