In his complaint to the police, the victim, identified as Archit Gupta, said he was attacked by Rajesh and his aides for "not supporting him (Rajesh) during an internal party voting".
"Archit has claimed that Gupta and his supporters then had a scuffle with him, which led to injuries on his hand and face and left him with a broken tooth," said a police officer.
The alleged incident took place around 8:30 PM on Wednesday during an AAP meeting in Wazirpur Industrial area.
Nobody has been arrested in this case so far, the officer added.
