An FIR was lodged against the parents following a court's order which found that they had deliberately furnished incorrect information to the police regarding their daughter's kidnapping even after knowing that it was false and had also deposed falsely on oath.
"The father and mother of the girl had also misled the investigating officer and tried to implicate persons...Who had no concern with the incident only because they were into a litigation with them earlier but also made false statements on oath in this regard before this court.
The court directed the SHO of Vijay Vihar Police Station to register the case for giving false evidence and other offences committed against public justice.
