Block Development Officer (Jamo) Chandra Prakash Upadhyay, acting on the directives of District Magistrate Yogesh Kumar, lodged the FIR at Jamo police station against Udai Pratap Singh, gram pradhan of Ahad village, and Village Development Officer Om Prakash over alleged misuse of MGNREGS (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme) funds, reports said.
Speaking to mediapersons, the district magistrate later said a complaint was earlier filed by Sarvtirth Mishra alleging that the duo transferred funds meant for MGNREGS to fake accounts opened in a local bank.
