FIR against IOC employees for damaging food grains

Manager of JVS foods, located near the IOC's pump house at Sitapura area where the leakage occurred yesterday, alleged that a fountain of crude oil spilled in the firm's premises that damaged wheat and other food grains stored there.

The FIR was lodged yesterday with Sanganer Sadar police station circle, police said.

Over 20,000 litres crude oil leaked from a crack in the state-owned Indian Oil Corporation's pipeline and spilled into Sitapura industrial area, which had witnessed a major fire in IOC depot in 2009.
