UP Rajkiya Nirman Nigam Limited (UPRNNL) gave the work of construction of the small dwellings for people of BPL category to DUDA.
However, according to the FIR, the then project officer of DUDA, Anju Singh, allegedly allowed the houses to be built on a land of a private builder.
The scam came to the light when the builder started selling the homes.
Under the scheme, 90 houses were supposed to be constructed in Radhey Shyam colony in Jaisingh Pura area of the district, according to the complaint filed by Project Officer, DUDA, Subhashvir Rajput.
It is alleged that Anju Singh connived with two builders and got 90 houses constructed on their land.
During the inquiry by SDM it was found that the receipts were issued by employees appointed on daily wages basis, by the then Project officer DUDA Mathura.
