According to a complaint filed by the girl, a resident of village Mujesar in Faridabad, she used to take tuitions in Gochi village and thus befriended the teacher's brother, identified as Ikhlaq.
On February 2nd, 2015, when the victim reached the coaching class, Ikhlaq was standing outside and informed the girl that his sister was inside, police said.
However, as she entered the house, Ikhlaq followed her and allegedly tired to rape her, they said, adding that he fled after his sister reached the spot.
The victim kept quiet for many days but narrated the incident to her mother yesterday, following which a complaint was filed before legal counsellor Jyoti Sharma and the case was registered at Police Station Mujesar in Faridabad under the relevant sections of SC and ST Act and section 4 (sexual assault) of POCSO act.
