FIR filed against Nagar Panchayat chairman in UP

An FIR has been filed against four persons, including chairman of Nagar Panchayat, for issuing abduction threats, police said.
Based on a written complaint by one Devraj Maurya, who accused Nagar Panchayat chairman Gulshan Yadav, Saurabh Chaturvedi, Mewalal and an unidentified person for threatening to abduct him, a case was lodged on Monday, deputy SP Kunda Sukrampal Tomarv said.
An FIR was lodged last evening in this connection, he said.
Maurya had lodged a similar complaint last year against the same people and the police had registered a non cognizable offence then.
