A fire broke out on the third floor of a residential building in Shahdara's Dilshad Colony area on Sunday, police said.

The incident happened around 3 pm and two fire tenders were rushed to the spot, they added.

Tajbar Singh Rawat, the owner of the house where the fire broke out, said, "I was sleeping in my bedroom and my family members were downstairs. My neighbour called out aloud after seeing smoke emanating from our drawing room. I jumped into their balcony and informed police and fire brigade."
