Fire in bin outside hospital triggers panic

A fire that broke out in a dust bin kept outside a maternity hospital here caused a flutter today, prompting patients, including those who gave birth to babies in the past few days, to run off to safety.
As the fire in the bin outside the Sait Maternity Hospital was noticed, it started gathering intensity with flames leaping up, causing anxiety among the patients and their attenders.
The attenders escorted their relatives, including women with new born babies, out of the hospital in a hurry.
By the time the fire service and rescue personnel arrived at the scene, locals managed to put off fire with available water in the surroundings.

The hospital was recently in the news, following the death of four women due to post-delivery complications.
