Smoke was seen billowing from a room on the first floor of the building this evening, which was suspected to be caused by a short circuit.
Fire tenders have rushed to spot and efforts are on to stop it from spreading further.
There are no reports of any casualty or injury, but the extent of damage caused by the fire is yet to be ascertained, officials said.
