A fire broke out in a slum colony here Tuesday night, but no casualty was reported, a fire brigade official said.
The blaze started in one of the slums in the colony in suburban Chembur and spread to some nearby hutments, he said.
However, no one was reported to be injured in the blaze, the official said.
The fire control room got information about the fire at 8.20 pm.
Four fire engines along with two water tankers and personnel were rushed to the site to douse the flames, he said.
The cause of the blaze was not immediately known, the official said.
However, according to local residents, the fire was caused by a cylinder blast.
