However, none was injured in the clash last night in which two groups of fishermen of the same community hurled country bombs, leading to tension in the village.
Police said six blasts were heard as "powerful country bombs" were hurled, people in the area had to spend sleepless nights.
The reason for the sudden eruption of violence was not known, police said adding so far no arrests had been made.
Last week, some country bombs exploded outside a house in the village.
