Five children of a family drown in river

Five teenagers of a family, including a girl, drowned in the Chamathachal river at Payavoor in the district today.
The children, all in the age group of 15, who had come on a visit to a relative's home here, had gone for a bath in the river when they were washed away.
The bodies have been recovered, police said.
The victims were paternal cousins.
