Five ganja smugglers arrested
Press Trust of India Berhampur (Odisha) Five ganja smugglers were arrested from different places of Odisha's Ganjam and Kandhamal districts and around 1.25 quintal of the contraband was seized from them, police said today.
The seizures were made during joint raids by police and excise officials at Mandiapalli in Ganjam and Kotagarh and Phiringia in Kandhamal district yesterday, the police said.
Aman and his son were arrested from Bunjijoda village with 80 kg of ganja, while another and his brother were arrested in Kandhamal.
A motorcycle was also seized from the two brothers, police said.
The intelligence wing of the excise department arrested another man from Gajapati district with 30 kg of ganja from Mandiapalli near Berhampur, the police added.
