Five get jail in a 1999 clash

Five persons, including a lawyer, were today sentenced to three years imprisonment by a local court in connection with a clash happened more than a decade ago.
Additional district sessions judge Amber Rawat also slapped a fine of Rs 6500 on Shokendra (lawyer),Deshpal, Surender, Subhash and Karam Singh who were found guilty of assaulting five people.
Five people were injured in the clash took place at Bantikhera village in shamli district on August, 27, 1999.
