Five GNLA militants nabbed

Five Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) militants have been apprehended by security forces in Assam's Goalpara district.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the army and police launched a joint operation and apprehended the five militants, who were travelling to Rongsai in a vehicle, at Hotgaon area of the district last night, a defence spokesman said here today.
The militants have been identified as Galet Ch Momin alias Arnet Ch Momin, Tenrik Marak, Paulush Marak, Pitin Sangma and Mithak Sangma.
Two Factory made 7.65 mm pistols, three country made 9 mm pistols and some ammunitions were recovered from their possession, the spokesman added.
