Five members of a family have converted to Hinduism near Wadakkancherry here as part of the 'Ghar Wapsi' initiative of Sangh Parivar, VHP representatives said.
Sources known to the development said the family from Nelluvai converted to Hinduism today at a ceremony held at a temple at Paralikkad by VHP and Bajrang Dal.
Suhra was a Hindu before she married Abdurahiman and embraced Islam. She reconverted to Hinduism today along with her husband and three children.
When contacted Thrissur police sources confirmed the religious conversion took place at Paralikkad temple.
