Five theft, robbery cases solved with arrest of a criminal

With the arrest of an armed criminal, the Delhi Police's Crime Branch has claimed to have worked out five cases of theft and robbery in Karol Bagh and Gole Market areas today.
Police said that it arrested Ajay Kumar from Mayur Vihar area on Thursday, after getting tipped of his presence there to commit another crime, and in the process recovering one improvised pistol along with two live cartridges from him.
One snatched mobile phone and a stolen motorcycle have also been recovered from his possession, police said.
"He has disclosed that he along with his associates had committed an armed house robbery of gold jewellery weighing about 220 gm in the area of Karol Bagh," a police officer said.

Police said that the accused has "also confessed his involvement in supply of illegal weapons to many persons in Delhi NCR".
