Spicejet had operated services between Puducherry and Bangalore for nearly a year from 2013. However, it was discontinued.
Alliance Air, subsidiary of Air India resumed the service today.
Talking to reporters after issuing boarding passes to passengers at the airport here, Chief Minister N Rangasamy said that the resumption of flight service to Bangalore was a positive signal to ensure that the tourism would make good progress.
The Alliance Air operates ATR 48 flight between the two cities on all days except on Wednesdays.
