Foetus recovered from sewer in Ambala

A foetus of around five-month-old baby was found in a sewer of the civil hospital here today, police said.
A gardener was clearing the bushes on the backside of the hospital building when he noticed the foetus lying in a manhole, SHO Baldev Nagar Police Station Vijay Kumar said.
The gardener informed the hospital authorities about the foetus. Later, the matter was reported to the police.
The foetus was taken out of the sewer and was kept in the mortuary of the hospital, the SHO said.
The sex of the foetus was not ascertained as yet, police said.
