Elior India, a leading pure play food services company, announced the launch of El Chef a foodtech platform.
The El Chef platform allows employees to create their favourite menus, monitor order updates and history, check out weekly menus and plan meals based on their specific needs, Elior Group CEO Phillippe Guillemot told reporters.
Information about allergens, the total calorie value of the meal and e-invoices are also readily available on the platform, Guillemot said, adding that all modern payment gateways are enabled on this interface.
"With a unique application like El Chef, Elior India is set to make a lasting impression in the food services industry, Guillemot said.
Speaking about the companys growth, Guillemot said it has strong presence in Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, United States of America and India.
In India, Elior entered in 2017 through two simultaneous acquisitions Megabite and CRCL, he added.
Elior Indias CEO and MD Sanjay Kumar said in just two and half years, the company registered a substantial growth in India catering meals from 1.2 lakh people per day to two lakh meals per day and has employed 4,500 employees.
The company has central kitchens in India at Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Sri City.
In Bengaluru, the company has kitchens at Hebbal and Marathahalli, Kumar said.
Besides many top firms, there are a few international educational institutions and healthcare units where Elior has made its presence, Kumar said.
