'Foray into small appliances will boost V-Guard's topline'

Foray into small appliances will boost south India-based consumer electrical and electronics major V-Guard Industries' revenue in the current fiscal.
"We have made entry into small appliances market as new category and in near future, we will introduce more products. This would help boost our revenue in the current fiscal," V-Guard GM (East) R K Bhattacharjee told PTI.
He said the company is aiming for Rs 2,000 crore revenue in FY15 against Rs 1,505 crore turnover achieved in 2013-14.
While, in east we are targeting Rs 200 crore in the current fiscal against Rs 120 crore achieved in FY14,' Bhattacharjee said.
The company's net revenue grew by 17 per cent to Rs 478 crore during the first quarter over the year-ago quarter.
The new products such as induction cooktops, switch gears, mixer grinder had grown about 82 per cent year-on-year revenue of last year, thus contributing to the overall expansion in the revenue of 17 per cent during the latest quarter.
Bhattacharjee did not elaborate what are the products the company was planning to introduce in the market in the appliances segment.
However, he indicated that the company was optimistic with the growth of the appliances and more products would follow soon.
Cables, pump, stabilisers, battery, invertors, gysers are among the major revenue products for the company.
