Former chief of army staff stresses on need to devise 'vision'

Former Chief of Army Staff General Shankar Roy Chowdhury stressed on the need to devise an ideological content in the vision of the armed forces to cope with present day challenges.
Delivering the keynote address at the opening session of the two-day national seminar on 'Building New Generation of Visionary Leadership' at the College of Defence Management (CDM) here today, he said, "Our armed forces are among the best in the world. However, there is a need to start looking at our perception of vision, without which leaders cannot exercise their function as leaders".
