According to Yavatmal Deputy Superintendent (ACB) Satish Deshmukh, the accused Dineshkumar Taywade was in government service during from 1971 to 2005.
However, Taywade possessed disproportionate wealth to the extent of Rs 82,72,361 as against his known sources of income from government service.
The ACB filed a complaint at the local Wadgaon Road police station on Friday against the Taywade couple after which the police registered a criminal offence under Section 13 (1) (E) and Section 13 (2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and also under Section 109 of the Indian Penal Code.
