Former Lok Sobha MP Rama Chandra Mallick died at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar Wednesday, his family sources said.
Mallick was 85 and is survived by two sons and five daughters.
Son of a small farmer of Barudei under Korei block in Jajpur district, Mallick was elected to Jajpur LS reserved seat in 1962 on a Congress ticket.
He won the same seat in 1977 on a Janata Party ticket. Later he returned to Congress and was re-elected from there in 1998.
