Former Maha MLA S R Patil passes away

Former Congress legislator from Kolhapur district S R Patil, popularly known as Sa Re Patil, passed away after a brief illness in Belgaum today, party sources said.
He was 94.
The body will be handed over to the medical college at Miraj, they added.
MPCC chief Ashok Chavan condoled Patil's death, saying the party state unit and the cooperative movement has suffered a setback due to his demise.
