Former MLA Shyam Kartik passes away

Former MLA Shyam Kartik died here after brief illness, his family said today.
He was 90.
Kartik passed away last night at a hospital and is survived by four sons and two daughters.
Kartik represented Singrauli seat from 1952 to 1972.
He was earlier associated with Socialist party and later joined Congress.
His last rites were performed today at his ancestral village, Bihra, about 15 kms away from district headquarters.
Sitting MLA Ram Lallu Vaish and Devsar legislator, Rajendra Meshram and others paid rich tributes to the departed leader.
