Rawle told PTI tonight that he met NCP chief Sharad Pawar at his Delhi residence today and accepted his offer to join the party.
"After Balasaheb (the late Sena supremo Bal Thackeray), I respect Pawar, and have known him for long. He inquired about me and my future plans. I told him about my wish to continue to serve the people and he asked me to join NCP which I accepted," Rawle said.
He also said that Shiv Sena had closed doors on him even though he was not involved in any anti-party activity.
