Four arrested on charge of poll violence

Four persons were arrested for creating violence during polling in Gurdaspur parliamentary Lok Sabha seat, police said today.
DSP Fatehgarh Churian Tilak Raj said 9 party workers of Shiromani Akali Dal - Lakhbir Singh, Dalbir Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Paramjit Singh, Tarsem Singh, Balraj Singh, Jagdip Singh, Gurmail Singh and his brother Gurwail Singh allegedly assaulted a Congress worker Manjinder Singh on the pretext that he was casting a duplicate vote.
The DSP said police arrested Lakhbir Singh, Dalbir Singh, Gurpreet Singh and Paramjit Singha after registering a case against the accused.
