drowned in a lake in the adjoining Washim district, police said today.
The four, aged between 11 and 16 years, had gone to Washim to attend a wedding ceremony. They went for a swim in the nearby lake after the marriage ceremony was over last evening.
When they did not return till late night, their relatives launched a frantic search. Their bodies were found floating in the lake this morning, they said.
The deceased are identified as Maroti Kundlik Karhade (14), Sopan (12), Ganesh Daroga (16) and Aniket Daroga (11). The bodies were and sent for autopsy and an accidental death case has been registered, police added.
