Additional Sessions Judge Mrs V V Virkar yesterday granted bail to police inspector Shahaji Jadhav, from Thane Police Commissionerate's Crime Branch, and three constables Suresh Patil, Premsingh Rajput and Uday Kore and asked them not to interfere in the probe with regard to the case.
They have also been ordered to report to the Anti-Corruption Bureau office on specified period in a week.
Jadhav had allegedly demanded Rs 2 lakh from a complainant who had a chemical unit in Wada of Thane district.
Patil was caught red-handed while accepting Rs 50,000, a part of the amount, in the crime branch office on January 29 following which the four policemen were arrested.
