Four-day Rajasthan Divas festival begins from Mar 27

Variety of rich cultural events will be held during the four-day Rajasthan Divas festival to be organised here from March 27-30 to commemorate the 68th year of the state's foundation.
The state of Rajasthan was formed on March 30, 1949.
The opening ceremony will begin with the lighting of the Rajasthan Day Torch.
The finals of the rural sports as well as the cultural extravaganza will be held at the SMS stadium, said PunitaSingh, Deputy Director of the tourism department.
While onMarch 27 and 28, a cycle marathon by the sports department will be held at the stadium.
'Jaipur Kathak Samaroh' will take place at the central park and an exhibition at Jawahar Kala Kendra from27 March to 5 April.

A Tattoo Show by Border Security Force (BSF) and Rajasthan Police will be held at the Polo Ground onMarch 28, Singh said.

On the next two days, 28 and 29th March, there will be 'Bhajans', 'Qawwalis', 'Gurbani' and 'Vedic' hymn chanting at a temple and a gurdwara.
The events will be organized in association with the Sanskrit Academy.
An exciting Air Fly-Past and Air Warrior Drill by the Indian Air Force (IAF) will also be held onMarch 29.
The Army Pageant will showcase Trick Riding, Massed Pipes and Drums Show at the Polo Ground here.
Bangladeshi fashion designer Bibi Russell will present a Heritage Fashion Show in the evening on the same day. Later, Bollywood singer Mohit Chauhan will also perform.

An attractive Projection Mapping Show dedicated to the people of the state will be held at the Vidhan Sabha on March 30, the foundation day of Rajasthan.
