Official reports reaching here said that lightning claimed two lives in Azamgarh and two in Barabanki in incidents of lightning and house collapse.
Met office sources said that chief amount of rainfall recorded in cms are Katerniaghat-9 , Akbarpur, Regoli, -7 each, Amethi, Haidergarh and Pharenda -6 each.
The department officials forecast rain and thundershowers would occur at many places over the state in the next 24 hours.
According to Central Water Commission, Quano river was still flowing above the red mark at Chandradeepghat (Gonda) and Mukhlispur (Sant Kabirnagar) though it was now receding.
