were arrested in connection with at least ten house-breaking crimes committed in eastern Mumbai in last few months, police said today.
Police recovered 50 grams gold, besides various tools, including a cutter and screwdrivers, used for house-breaking from them.
"During interrogation, the quartet confessed about committing 10 house-breaking thefts in Eastern suburbs in past few months," said Bhandup police station senior inspector, Shripad Kale.
The accused, identified as Vicky Pujari (27), Jay Pujari (24), Chandan Singh (21) and Sonu Jacob alias Kalia (21), were arrested from outside Nahur railway station in Eastern Mumbai.
Police suspect that more such crimes might come to light during the course of investigation as the accused have several cases of housebreaking registered against them in many police stations of the city.
