The explosion took place when cooking was in progress in the house yesterday. Four persons suffered 30 to 50 per cent burns and were hospitalised.
The walls and other materials of the house were damaged causing panic in the village. A fire tender brought the situation under contril.
"We suspect gas leak is the reason for the explosion," police said.
