Four members of a family suffered severe burn injuries in a fire following the explosion of a mobile phone at Shahapur in Thane district Friday, police said.
The incident took place in Pratiksha Nagar locality early Friday morning, police said.
According to the victims, a cell phone exploded, which led to a fire and subsequent explosion of an LPG cylinder.
Rajesh Shinde (40), Roshni Shinde (37), Rutuja Shinde, (16) and Abhijeet Shinde (7) were injured in the incident.
While Rutuja and Abhijeet were being treated at a hospital in Shahapur, their parents were shifted to the Thane Civil Hospital, the police said.
