Four kanwariyas were killed and two others injured when a truck hit them in Bihar's Rohtas district today, police said.
The incident occurred on GT road near Tekari village when the kanwariyas were returning to their home in Bhojpur after offering holy water at Guptadham in Rohtas district, Chenari police station SHO Kumar Gaurav said.
The deceased have been identified as Ram Ratan, Dev Kumar, Mukesh and Amitabh, he said adding that all the four deceased persons belonged to Bhojpur district.
The kanwariyas were standing on the road while their pick van's tyre puncture was being repaired when the truck hit them killing four of them on the spot and injuring two others, he said.
The injured persons have been admitted to a nearby private clinic, the SHO added.
