Four killed as taxi overturns

Four persons were killed and two others injured when a taxi overturned after hitting a road divider in Uluberia area of Howrah district today, the police said.
The accident occurred on NH-6 near Kashyappur when six friends, majority of them taxi drivers, were returning from Kolaghat.
While three persons died on the spot, one succumbed to his injuries in hospital, police said adding all the deceased were taxi drivers.
The two injured were admitted to hospital.
It is suspected that occupants of the taxi were drunk, police said.
