Four killed in explosion at welding shop in Hingoli district

Four persons were killed in an explosion at a welding shop at Hatta village in Vasmat tehsil of Hingoli district in Maharashtra today, police said.
The incident took place at about 10 am at Janata Garage on Parbahni road when the owner of the garage/welding shop Pathan Gulab Khan (65), his son Pathan Rahim Gulab (35) and grandson Ajim Rahim (9) were cutting gas tank of a refrigerator.
Sheikh Atik Isaq (28), a relative, was helping them, while Tanaji Haribhau Jadhav (25) was standing nearby when suddenly there was explosion.
Rahim died on the spot while Gulab Khan, Ajim and Atik died on the way to the Parbhani civil hospital. Jadhav was undergoing treatment there.

Superintendent of police Kailash Kanase said that prima facie it was a blast of gas tank of the refrigerator and further probe was on.
